ORCAS Consulting was founded in 2024 by three colleagues with a passion for the coastal environment.

Expertise: We are specialists in coastal science, sustainable engineering practice and computer modelling of coastal oceanographic and freshwater processes. We are a cohesive and agile team with decades of research and consulting experience. We are able to respond quickly and efficiently to any challenge or opportunity.

Clients: We have worked for a wide range of clients including local community groups and non-profits, international NGOs, development banks, all levels of government (local, regional and national) and multinational consultancies and corporations.

The name ORCAS was chosen out of respect to Orcinus orca, one of the most powerful, graceful, and intelligent animals on earth and an undisputed master of the sea. Orcas are fearsome, apex predators inhabiting every coastal environment on earth, are highly social, and work in teams to accomplish their goals. As such, they are an apt metaphor for a group of coastal and environmental science professionals with diverse skillsets and decidedly global outlook and ambitions.
